Overview:
A hospital-based opportunity is available for a Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient coverage and call support. This role involves managing consults, performing procedures, and ensuring continuity of care alongside an established GI team.

24 hour call: $3700; Callback: $475/hr

Assignment Dates:
December 21, 2026 (7:00 AM) – December 28, 2026 (7:00 AM)
Opportunity to join ongoing coverage pool for future shifts

Schedule:
24-hour call coverage
No clinic responsibilities

Practice Details:
Setting: Hospital-based
EMR: Epic
Acute care hospital
Collaboration with local GI physicians for patient handoffs

Responsibilities:
Inpatient rounding
Manage existing GI patients and new consults
Respond to ED and inpatient consults
Perform GI procedures as needed

Patient Population:
Adult inpatient population

Case Mix:
General “bread and butter” gastroenterology
ERCP experience preferred

Requirements:
Board Certified in Gastroenterology – Required
Active Georgia License – Required
DEA & CSR (Georgia) – Required
BLS & ACLS – Required
Clean malpractice/background – Required
Must be local (no travel) – Required
Availability confirmed at time of submission – Required
