Overview:
A hospital-based opportunity is available for a Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient coverage, including call, consults, and procedures. This role focuses on managing a broad range of GI cases with strong APP support in a collaborative environment.

Orientation – $230/hr
On Call (Daily) – $4000 - “Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis"
Call Back – $500/hr after gratis

Assignment Details:
Start: ASAP
Ongoing until permanent provider is hired

Schedule:
24-hour call coverage
Includes inpatient rounding, procedures, and ED consults
Approximately 6–8 hours onsite per day

Specific Dates:
May 26 – June 1, 2026 (general GI may be considered for these dates)

Practice Details:
Setting: Inpatient / Hospital
EMR: Epic
Dedicated GI APP support (3 inpatient APPs assisting with endoscopy, floor, and ED coverage)

Patient Volume:
10–20 patients per day
Approximately 10 admissions per night

Responsibilities:
Inpatient rounding and patient management
Perform GI procedures
Respond to ED and inpatient consults
Provide call coverage

Procedures:
ERCP – Required
General endoscopy
Bread and butter GI procedures

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology – Required
Active Kentucky License or IMLC – Preferred
DEA – Required
ACLS – Required
ERCP proficiency – Required
Clean malpractice history – Preferred
NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
Availability confirmed at time of submission – Required
