Overview:
A critical access hospital is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide full-time coverage in a low-volume setting. This role includes both emergency department care and light inpatient responsibilities in a collaborative, small-team environment.

$160/hr

Assignment Details:
Start: June 14, 2026
Ongoing coverage

Schedule:
24-hour in-house shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Approximately 3 shifts per month
Occasional 12-hour shifts
Sleep room available during call

Practice Details:
Setting: Critical Access Hospital
EMR: Epic (TogetherCare)
3-bed Emergency Department
20 inpatient beds (medical-surgical)
Support from APPs, RNs, and CNA staff
Access to lab, imaging, pharmacy, and outpatient services

Patient Volume:
Approximately 4 ED patients per day
Average inpatient census: 4 patients

Patient Population:
All ages

Responsibilities:
Provide emergency department coverage
Manage low-volume ED cases
Provide inpatient care (observation and acute patients)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team

Requirements:
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or FP/IM with recent EM experience – Required
Active Iowa License – Required
Clean malpractice/background – Required
NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
Must be able to cover listed dates – Required

Credentialing:
Must be able to obtain privileges prior to start
