Description
The Psychiatry locums position in Louisiana…
-Location: southwest Louisiana
-Duration: June – December (potential to extend)
-Schedule: 2-4 weeks per month
-Shift: Monday – Friday, 8a-5p
-Call: rotating
-Volume: 14-16 patients per day. Average length of stay is 10-14 days
-Scope: inpatient geriatric (rounds and admissions for geriatric patients only)
-Cases: ages 55+. Dementia, depression, psychosis/bi-polar, substance abuse
-EMR: Epic
-Group: Other general adult psychiatrist for adult and pediatric patients. Hospitalist round for medical conditions
-Affiliated hospital: Level III trauma center, 300 general beds, 31 psychiatric beds
-Required: Board certified or board eligible with a Louisiana license or active IMLCC
