Position Overview

Schedule

Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Estimated Patient Load: 8-10 patients per day

On-Call Requirements: None

Weekend Requirements: None

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient cardiovascular surgery support.

Conduct invasive procedures, including placement of invasive lines and chest tubes.

Serve as first assist in cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring safe and effective surgical practices.

Work exclusively with adult patients in a Level 2 trauma facility.

Utilize the Epic EMR system for efficient patient care documentation and workflow management.

Requirements

License: Valid New York State PA license (required by start date).

Certifications:
- NCCPA certification (mandatory)
- ACLS certification (mandatory)

Experience: Minimum experience as a first assist in cardiovascular surgery is required; no new graduates at this time.
