Required Skills:
- Valid RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to PASS an EKG competency exam prior to onboarding.
- 1-2 years of recent hospital experience in a step-down or medical-surgical setting.
- Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips, vasopressors, insulin, managing venous sheaths, central lines, and tracheostomies.
- Skilled in wound care, chest tubes, blood products, and the operation of IV pumps and medication systems.
- Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills, with experience managing patient types such as respiratory failure, CVA, DKA, sepsis, post-surgical, and neurological cases.
Nice to Have Skills:
- NIHSS certification.
- Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Alaris IV pumps.
- Ability to float between units (Cardiac Stepdown and MedSurg) and adapt to different patient ratios.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, with prior experience in PCU or similar units preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must be separated from previous employment as a permanent staff for at least one year if previously employed as a staff nurse.
- Flexibility to work every other weekend, 4-day or 3-day workweeks, and 2/3 major holidays as needed.
- No on-call required.
- Scrub color: Pewter.
- Free parking available in designated areas.
- Start date: June 1, 2026.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $50.25.
