We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. Required Skills:
- Active New York State License as a PA
- Minimum of 2 years recent surgical experience
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
- Proficient in suturing, wound cauterization, tissue handling, and hemostasis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a surgical setting
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Prior experience working with General Surgery, OB/GYN, or Orthopedic patients
- Flexibility to support various shift patterns including weekdays, weekends, and call duties
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited PA program
- Prior experience in surgical first assist roles
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to fully relocate between 8/21 and 8/28
- Availability for full-time coverage starting from 07/27/2026
- Ability to work in a unit with adult, acutely ill patients across a variety of medical problems
- Comfortable with shift hours including day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM), evening shifts, and weekend call
- Professional attire consistent with hospital policies
- Ability to adhere to infection control and safety protocols
