What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or CVOR RNFA preferred
- Minimum of one year of surgical assisting experience, specifically in CVOR or endoscopic vein harvesting procedures
- Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvest techniques
- Strong understanding of surgical protocols, sterile practices, and patient safety
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic surgical environment
Additional Skills That Are a Plus:
- Experience with OR instrumentation and surgical technology
- BLS certification
- Knowledge of hospital protocols and regulations related to surgical assisting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification; RN with CVOR experience also considered
- At least one year of recent surgical assisting in a hospital setting, with specific experience in cardiovascular or vein harvesting procedures
Other Requirements:
- Current BLS, ABSA, NBSTSA, or NCCT certification
- Flexibility to work day shifts 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, with scheduled call responsibilities every third day and every weekend
- Weekend call duties, including on-call from Friday 3:30 pm to Sunday 7:00 am (every third week, with schedule subject to change)
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $73.70
