Join Our Team as a MS/Tele Registered Nurse – Night Shift (12-Hour Shifts)

We are seeking a highly motivated MS/Tele Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team, providing expert nursing support to adult and geriatric patients throughout their cancer journey. In this vital role, you will deliver exemplary nursing services on the night shift, supporting patients battling various solid tumor cancers, including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers. With a focus on infection prevention and patient safety, you will operate within staffing ratios aimed at 1:4 or 1:5, ensuring thorough and attentive care. The position offers dynamic scheduling options, with self-scheduling requests considered to accommodate your preferences, and features a comprehensive orientation program to set you up for success.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience, preferably in med-surg or oncology settings
- Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to understand and apply infection prevention protocols and fall prevention strategies
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Nice to Have Skills and Preferences:
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
- Previous travel nursing?
- Comfort with computerized charting systems, specifically EPIC
- Flexibility to float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units as needed
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse licensed in applicable state or without restrictions
- Prior experience in adult and geriatric oncology patient care
Additional Requirements:
- Night shift availability from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with variable weekend coverage based on unit needs
- Willingness to float to other unit areas within the oncology department
- Valid certifications relevant to oncology and telemonitoring
