The physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric care — including evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and crisis intervention — working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health outcomes.

Responsibilities

Perform psychiatric evaluations for a diverse patient population, including geriatric patients and those with complex psychosocial challenges such as PTSD, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and psychosis
Provide a full range of therapeutic interventions including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management, suicide risk assessments, and crisis intervention
Manage psychiatric emergencies, including assessments for potential inpatient hospitalization
Deliver psycho-diagnostic services and utilize appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques across outpatient, inpatient, ED, and telehealth settings
Order diagnostic tests and consultations and make independent, evidence-based treatment decisions
May serve as mental health team leader, coordinating consults and triage of specialty clinic referrals
Participate in team meetings, treatment planning conferences, and collaborate with multidisciplinary care team members
May participate in supervision and teaching in support of the psychiatric residency program
Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution approved for graduate medical education
Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth
Completed residency training in an ACGME or AOA accredited psychiatry program
Strong proficiency in spoken and written English
Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for community-based care activities
Schedule

Inpatient and outpatient coverage based on clinical need
On-call duties as required by the behavioral health service schedule
