The physician will provide comprehensive General Surgery care in both outpatient and operative settings, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities

Deliver the full range of General Surgery services consistent with the standards of a state-of-the-art clinical facility
Manage and treat patients in clinic and the operating room in accordance with current TJC and national surgical standards
Ensure patients are seen in a timely manner and that cancelled appointments are rescheduled within 10 business days
Provide education and supervision of health professions trainees rotating through the Surgery Service
Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record system
Participate in on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the clinical schedule
Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Surgery (ABS)
Current, full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth
Current BLS and ACLS certification (must be maintained throughout the contract)
Ability to meet all ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
Demonstrated technical proficiency in General Surgery with strong English communication skills
Collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care and trainee education
Schedule

Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
On-call coverage required during all off-hours, including evenings, weekends, and federal holidays
On-call availability: phone response within 15 minutes; onsite within 60 minutes
