Emergency Medicine Opportunity - western North Carolina
5 ED Beds
8,000 annual volume
BC/BE in IM, FP or GS with EM experience. Must have completed a residency.
Hybrid program---EM providers will round on the inpatients and also cover the ED
Single physician coverage in the ED
Shifts 7a-7p/7p-7a. Day shift provider will also do rounds. Typically there are 3-4 inpatients requiring care.
The hospital unit is in close proximity to the ER. The physician would round when the ED is calm. If a situation arises that requires the provider return to the ED, they will would be called back. No ICU or step down patients, mostly Med-Surg patients
90% ED 10% Rounding (inpatient side)
Does not allow 24 hr shifts
Charting is T-Sheets
