Position: Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health / Mental Health (Full-Time, Varied Shifts)

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $28.90 – $41.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $12,000
- Shift Differentials: Additional pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts, enhancing earning potential
- Work Schedule Options: Full-time positions available on day, evening, and night shifts, including 8 and 12-hour shifts with flexible schedules

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Provide direct nursing care in various clinical settings, including high-acuity populations, maintaining safety and therapeutic engagement
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, discharge procedures, and ongoing care needs
- Monitor patient safety continuously, identifying and reporting potential risks to prevent adverse events
- Supervise and coordinate activities among licensed and non-licensed staff, fostering a team-oriented environment
- Document all patient interactions accurately, adhering to organizational policies and legal requirements
- Promote a recovery-focused, therapeutic environment aligning with the organization’s mission and core values
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold standards of best practice
- Support staff development through training and mentoring, promoting continuous learning
- Assist in resource management, scheduling, and coordination of medication and health-related activities, where applicable
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and compassion consistently, serving as a positive role model for colleagues and patients alike
Qualifications:
- Valid and current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
- Prior experience in behavioral health, mental health, or related settings preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed, patient-centered care
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May serve as a charge nurse or clinical lead, providing guidance and oversight to team members
