Join Our Team as an MS/Tele Registered Nurse – Night Shift (3x12-Hour Shifts)

What You’ll Do:
- Float across Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) units, delivering expert nursing care to a diverse patient population.
- Safely manage care for inmates in a secure correctional environment, ensuring staff and patient safety at all times.
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records for accurate documentation and medication management via Pyxis systems.
- Support patients with active oncology diagnoses and complex medical needs, including surgical procedures, sepsis, COPD, and more.
- Participate in a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule, with flexibility based on departmental needs and staffing priorities.
Required Skills:
- Current RN licensure in your state or eligible for licensure.
- Proven EPIC charting experience.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of medical-surgical nursing, telemetry, and emergency response protocols.
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and manage cardiac drips.
- Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and respiratory support techniques.
- Competent in caring for patients with complex diagnoses, including oncology and hematology conditions.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Oncology experience, while preferred, is not mandatory.
- Experience with advanced airway management such as BIPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen.
- Knowledge of correctional healthcare procedures and protocols.
- Familiarity with hospital-based pharmacy, radiology, and physical therapy services.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience.
- Oncology background or certifications are a plus.
- Prior work in correctional healthcare environments is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Must hold a current BLS certification.
- Ability to work night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) on a 3x12 schedule, including weekends as required.
- Willingness to float between units and adapt to varying patient needs.
- Will meet all licensure, certification, and healthcare compliance standards.
