Join Our Team as a Critical Care Float Registered Nurse!
Are you an experienced RN passionate about providing exceptional care in dynamic environments? We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Float RN to deliver high-quality patient care across multiple units, including PCU, Stepdown, and other specialized areas. This pivotal role offers the chance to work in a collaborative setting, flexibly floating between departments and campuses to meet patient needs while advancing your clinical skills.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU or critical care experience
- Proficiency in IV starts, Telemetry, and Epic electronic health records
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different patient care settings and workflows
Nice to Have Skills:
- Additional certifications such as CCRN or PALS
- Experience working within a hospital system similar to ours
- Past experience in a float or agency nursing role
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior experience in PCU, stepdown, or critical care units within a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to float within units of comparable or lower acuity levels; may involve floating across different campuses (Ross Heart, Brain & Spine, Dodd)
- Valid RN license in the state of Ohio
- Ability to work night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) on a 3x12 schedule
- Willingness to adhere to hospital policies and participate in ongoing training
