What You’ll Do:
In this role, you will work closely with attending physicians to conduct comprehensive health assessments, develop and implement care plans, and provide patient and family education. You will utilize your prescribing authority to deliver effective treatments, document care accurately and promptly in medical records, and perform essential patient care functions with minimal supervision—all within an inpatient, acute care environment.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; inpatient experience strongly preferred
- Current NYS license/registration as a Nurse Practitioner, with specialty area aligned to practice
- NCCPA certification or eligibility (for Physician Assistants)
- Possession of Medicare NPI number or eligibility to apply
- CPR and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to perform a wide range of patient care functions independently
- Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working in an inpatient or acute care setting
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related advanced practice degree
- At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience in acute or inpatient settings
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work 8-hour day shifts during the designated days
- Ability to travel or accommodate reimbursements for licensure, certification, and travel if applicable
