The ideal candidate is confident in their clinical skills, comfortable working independently, and has experience in correctional, public health, or government-supported clinical settings.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine dental exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning

Provide emergency dental care as needed

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care

Supervise and collaborate with dental auxiliaries

Maintain thorough, accurate, and compliant patient records

Coordinate care and make appropriate referrals for complex cases

Ensure all care adheres to state policy and facility procedures

Skills

Requirements:

Active dental license in the state of North Carolina

Current CPR certification

Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (not open to new graduates)

Ability to work in a correctional facility environment

Strong documentation and communication skills
