Join Our Team as a Locum Physician Assistant (PA) – OB/GYN in Beautiful Colorado Springs, CO!
Are you a dedicated Physician Assistant with a passion for women's health? UCHealth Printers Park Medical Plaza is seeking an experienced OB/GYN PA to provide top-quality care in a dynamic, supportive environment. What You'll Do:
- Deliver comprehensive OB/GYN care, including routine and high-risk pregnancies, deliveries, gynecologic procedures, and ultrasounds
- Collaborate with a skilled team of OB/GYNs, nurses, and support staff in a busy, well-equipped clinic
- Participate in hospital coverage at Memorial Central Hospital, a Level I trauma center with 413 beds
- Manage a manageable patient load with an average of 20 patients daily in clinic and approximately 3 deliveries per week
- Provide supervision during OB/GYN surgeries and procedures using advanced office equipment and ultrasound technology
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Active PA license with OB/GYN experience, including low and high-risk pregnancies
- Proficiency in FHR interpretation, NST/CST/FSE, and routine deliveries
- Experience in C-sections, breech presentations, TOLAC/VBAC, and repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage complex obstetric cases
Nice to Have Skills:
- Ability to perform and interpret OB ultrasounds and targeted anatomic ultrasounds
- Experience with office gynecologic procedures such as IUD insertions, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP
- Knowledge of managing patients with chronic health conditions like diabetes, toxemia, or cardiac issues
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) with relevant OB/GYN specialty experience
- Prior work in a hospital or clinic setting with obstetric and gynecologic care, including high-risk pregnancies
Other Requirements:
- Must be available for a start date of May 1, 2026
- Willing to provide full-time coverage with rotating call schedule (1 in 5 days, 1 in 10 overnight/weekend)
- Travel reimbursement provided: up to $750 for flights, lodging at $150/night, and up to IRS standard mileage or car rental expenses
- Must send travel details 4 weeks prior to start date
- No supervision of other providers required; will work alongside other OB/GYNs and mid-levels in a collaborative setting
