Locum Tenens Interventional Cardiologist in Texas

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage at a busy hospital and outpatient cardiology clinic in desirable area. The hospital is a 24/7 STEMI receiving center with strong APP and physician support.

Clinical Responsibilities:

Outpatient cardiology clinic and inpatient care
Non-invasive cardiology (required)
Invasive cardiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy, PA catheter, IABP, cardiac catheterization (required)
TEE preferred but not required
Nuclear cardiology read by radiologists; cardiologists manage positive stress tests
Support from 4 other general and interventional cardiologists

Schedule:
Clinic and Call

Qualifications:
TX medical license required
DEA, BLS, ACLS certifications required
Board certification in Interventional Cardiology preferred
Experience managing emergent STEMI cases preferred
Technically sound with excellent judgment in cath lab

Additional Info:
Emergency or temporary hospital privileges available for physicians with clean files
