We are looking for a skilled OB/GYN to provide temporary call coverage near Adamsburg, PA for a short-term assignment. Assignment Details:

• Location: Near Adamsburg, Pennsylvania


• Coverage Dates: November 29, 2024 - December 1, 2024 (7:00 am - 7:00 am)


• Coverage Type: Call only (second call/backup)


• Facility Type: Inpatient, Level I Trauma, supporting a high volume of obstetric cases


• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic


• Privileges: Temporary privileges available


• Shift Structure: 24-hour call coverage (with no supervision required)

Practice Requirements:

• Specialty Skills: Obstetrics and Gynecology


• Experience Required:
  
  
  
  • High-risk and low-risk pregnancy management
  
  
  • Routine deliveries, C-sections, and complex deliveries (e.g., breech, VBAC, multiple births)
  
  
  • Proficiency in interpreting fetal heart rate monitoring
  
  
  • Ultrasound skills (Level I and Level II for viability and anatomy scans)
  
  
  • Skills in minor and major gynecological surgeries, including IUD placement, cystoscopy, cryosurgery, laparoscopic procedures, and laser certification preferred
  
  
  • Management of third- and fourth-degree laceration repairs
  
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• License: Must be licensed in Pennsylvania


• Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology; fellowship preferred but not required


• Certification Requirements: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS are not required for this role

Additional Information:

• Support Staff: Includes a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for first call coverage


• Patient Volume: Facility averages approximately 1,590 deliveries annually


• Travel & Lodging: Nearest airports include Pittsburgh and Latrobe. Lodging arrangements will be made by the facility.


• Compensation: Competitive, all-inclusive daily rate, including travel and lodging expenses
