We are seeking a dedicated Urologist for a locum tenens position to assist with 24-hour hospital call coverage near Fulton, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking for flexible work with full travel reimbursement. Candidates must meet certain credentialing requirements and be available to start in December, with ongoing shifts starting in January 2025.

Position Overview:

• Role: Locum Physician - Urology


• Location: Near Fulton, Indiana


• Start Date: Urgent coverage needed on December 30-31, with continuous coverage starting January 2025


• Shift Type: 24-hour hospital-based call coverage


• Patient Population: Adults only, with an average of 2-5 patients per day

Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology (within five years of residency)

  • Active Indiana medical license required at the time of submission
  
  
  • ACLS certification required

  • Proficiency in general urology procedures
  
  
  • Comfortable with hospital-based call coverage and handling a variety of urologic cases
  
  
  
  

Additional Details:

• Coverage Requirements: Physicians will be added to an ongoing call pool, with rotating 24/7 shifts


• EMR System: EPIC


• Travel: Full travel expenses covered


• Compensation: Competitive daily on-call rate

Credentialing Timeline:

• Payer Enrollment: 90-120 days from submission of required documents, including Indiana license, controlled substance registration, DEA with Indiana practice address, and signed enrollment forms


• Hospital Privileges: 45-60 days upon completion of all credentialing applications
