Position Details:

Optimal Start February 8, 9 or 10 Hour shifts

What cases would locum need to cover? All cases presenting to the facility though currently we do not cardiac, transplants, high risk pediatrics or heads

a. OB? Definitely need skill set for epidurals, spinals and general anesthesia for emergency c-sections

b. Ortho Cases? Absolutely and will need to be facile with regional anesthesia

c. Neuro/Heads? Spine surgery- cervical, thoracic and lumbar cases no heads d. Pediatrics? Yes healthy pediatrics CRNA Supervision or docs doing own cases? Anticipate doing your own cases unless you are on call then you would supervise the CRNAs and see all cases and add-ons during the day supervision, provide ratio. 3:1, 2:1 OT to be expected? Not expected but may occur

Call: Yes that would be helpful as this is the most pressing need. After February we will have only two FT call taking doctors and do not want to get burned out. We do have some per diem doctors taking a few calls during the month Anesthesia rooms are on site? 5 on site but we typically run only three anesthetizing locations daily. On emergency cases the call doctor will start the case and the CRNAs will be unsupervised until a case comes down Practice Model for each location # Physicians would like 4 FT physicians for coverage but we will have 2 at the end of January
