Registered Nurse - Emergency Department 

Seeking a Full Time ER / Emergency Room RN to join a great team in Southern CT!

Shifts: Both 2nd and 3rd shifts are available! 

Looking for experienced RN's seeking a full-time position within the Emergency Department. Our Newly renovated Emergency Department now consists of more rooms including specialty rooms for trauma and critical cardiac care. Also the first facility in the region with its own dedicated pediatric emergency department with a specialty trained team to care for the youngest of patients. RN role: Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines. Provide supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit.  Supervise unit activities when assigned to charge or clinical coordinator role. Act as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested. Adhere to all Stamford Hospital’s policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.  Provide safe and therapeutic care using the values inherent in our hospital culture.

Shift: Evening Shift - 2:00pm-3:00am. Will also rotate to the 10:00am-11:00pm shift.

We also have night shift 7pm-8am.

3 days a week, rotate between every other weekend and holidays.

Required Experience

1) Minimum of one year acute care nursing experience required; ED experience highly preferred.

2) Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

3) Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut.

4) BSN strongly preferred.

5) BLS/ACLS certification required.

6) TNCC preferred.

7) PALS required within 90 days of employment.
