Seeking experienced Nurse Director for a state of the art Cardiovascular Operating Room

This Heart and Vascular Institute offers world class care. They are are consistently on the short list of U.S. hospitals selected to study the latest advances in heart disease treatments, including trials for atrial fibrillation and heart valve disease. Additionally, we are one of the few centers around the country to offer three transcatheter valve options to patients. Known nationally for superior outcomes and expertise in minimally invasive valve procedures.

About the unit & role:

• Dedicated to adult and pediatric cardiac procedures, including heart and lung transplant, vascular and thoracic surgery. There are 7 ORs – 1 pediatric OR, 1 hybrid OR and 1 thoracic/vascular OR
• The Director of the CVOR leads the overall administration and management of CVOR and the pre-op and PACU areas and is responsible for creating a culture of patient safety, staff engagement and professional development
• Leads a highly skilled, nationally recognized staff utilizing state of the art technology and equipment
• Average 25 – 30 surgeries / week
• Currently there are 5 cardiac surgeons (plus 2 vascular and 2 thoracic surgeons)

Education Requirements: 

• BSN, Masters Preferred
• BLS certification required
• EKG proficiency
• CNOR certification
• Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred
