Overview

A hospital-based opportunity is available for a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to provide operating room coverage during a maternity leave. This role includes pediatric anesthesia cases, neonatal through adult patients, and a mix of solo practice and CRNA supervision.

Compensation:

$425/hr

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Practice Details
Setting: Hospital-based operating rooms
Trauma Level: I
14 operating rooms
Care model includes both solo practice and CRNA supervision
Patient Population: Neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult
Case Volume
Approximately 50–60 surgical cases per day
Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia for pediatric and neonatal surgical cases
Supervise CRNAs in a care team model
Manage ventilation and perioperative anesthesia care
Collaborate with surgical, nursing, and perioperative teams
Required Case Experience
Neonatal general surgical cases
Pediatric general surgical cases
Adult general surgical cases
Thoracic cases, excluding open heart
Complex orthopedic cases
Neurosurgical cases
Ventilation management
Preferred Experience
Pediatric anesthesia across subspecialties, excluding cardiac and transplant surgery
Arterial line insertion
Acute volume and blood pressure management
Requirements
Board Certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology – Required
Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship – Required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS – Required
Active Ohio License – Highly Preferred
NPDB Self-Query within 30 days – Required
Credentialing
Fingerprinting required immediately after acceptance"
