Description
We are seeking an Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner for a 186-day assignment in New Mexico, starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves comprehensive clinic-based orthopedic care, including managing patient flow, medical orthopedics, follow-ups, pre-operative histories and physicals, and post-operative care for a high volume of patients. Responsibilities and Duties - Provide comprehensive clinic-based orthopedic care, including medical orthopedics and follow-ups.
- Manage clinic flow efficiently for a high-volume patient population.
- Conduct pre-operative histories and physicals (H&Ps).
- Oversee post-operative care for patients in both hospital and clinic settings.
- Address walk-in patients and manage X-ray cases.
- Handle podiatry cases as needed.
Additional Information - Required Board Certification: Orthopaedic Sports Medicine
- Experience with Athenahealth and Cerner EMR systems
- High-volume clinic experience, managing 35-50 patients per day
- Patient population includes all ages, with pediatrics 8 years and older
- Work within a trauma facility
