We are actively seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant - Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic for a 120-day assignment in Michigan, starting Aug 3, 2026. This role involves 12-hour shifts, offering a preference for day or night shifts, and focuses on critical procedures such as thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, and advanced line placements within a hospital-based CVICU setting, potentially assisting with CV surgery consults on weekend shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Thoracentesis
• Chest tube insertions
• Placement of central venous and dialysis catheters
• Placement of arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps
• May assist with CV surgery consults on weekend shifts
• Covering the CVICU

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: American Association of Nurse Practitioners (ANNP)
• EMR: Epic
• Work site is a Trauma Center
• Average census: 8-12 patients
• IP / hospital-based setting
• Schedule consists of 12 hour shifts, with exact hours TBD and preference for nights or day shift
