What You'll Do:
As a Travel RN specializing in Telemetry, you will deliver high-quality, independent nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients. Using your expertise, you will assess patient needs, administer treatments, monitor vital signs, and educate patients and their families. You will collaborate with a skilled team, manage complex cases, and ensure the best outcomes for your patients. Your role involves critical thinking, excellent communication, and compassionate caregiving on every shift.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in your state of employment or a compact license
- BLS certification from AHA is mandatory
- ACLS certification from AHA is required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in cardiac or telemetry settings
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent documentation and patient education abilities
- Ability to work a 7AM – 7PM days shift on a full-time basis
Nice to Have Skills & Qualifications:
- Epic electronic health record experience
- Previous telemetry or cardiac step-down experience
- Experience with patient education and emotional support in cardiac care
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
- At least one year of relevant nursing experience in a similar setting
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work every other weekend
- Ability to adapt to a professional and compassionate healthcare environment
- Ability to complete onboarding and competency validations promptly
