What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Current RN license in Michigan with a passion for behavioral health.
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to develop and reassess individualized care plans collaboratively.
- Excellent communication abilities to educate patients and their families and to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to provide a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients and staff.
- Experience in clinical settings with diverse populations and a person-centered care approach.
- Leadership skills to coordinate staff and promote a positive, recovery-focused environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with milieu management and crisis intervention.
- Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience.
- Knowledge of medication management and physical health activities.
- Training or certifications related to behavioral health nursing or mental health first aid.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A registered nurse license in good standing in Michigan.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant inpatient behavioral health nursing experience is preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work evening shifts (Evenings) in Grand Rapids, MI.
- Commitment to ongoing training and competency of designated programs.
- Certification in CPR and first aid preferred but not required.
