Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Proficiency in IV starts, TELE, and EPIC electronic health records
- Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity as needed
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in PCCU or critical care settings
- Previous float pool or agency nursing experience
- Additional certifications such as CAUTI, TNCC, or related specialty training
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
- Prior experience in a hospital setting with diverse patient populations
- Familiarity with OSU-affiliated hospital protocols and systems
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to float to other OSU-affiliated hospitals within close proximity (approximately a 5-6 minute walk)
- Valid nursing license in good standing
- Ability to work night 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Must adhere to all hospital policies and safety standards
- Parking permits available through CampusParc with options for different budgets and convenience
