What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in PCU, Med Surg, or Oncology settings
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to handle a diverse range of patient diagnoses such as breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and reconstructive surgeries
- Proficiency in managing chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, cytokine release syndrome, insulin, and heparin drips
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to variable shift schedules and float within scope of practice
Nice to Have:
- Oncology-specific certifications (e.g., ONS Chemo)
- Experience with EPIC electronic charting system
- Knowledge of infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Valid RN license with current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience in a surgical oncology or mixed acuity unit preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to float across units as needed
- Successful completion of on-unit precepted orientation during the first two weeks
- Shift flexibility for scheduled days, nights, or a combination, based on unit needs
