Position Overview:
As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), you will provide expert, compassionate care in a state-of-the-art Level IV NICU, delivering high-quality services to our most vulnerable patients. You'll work alongside experienced neonatologists and fellow NNPs within a supportive environment that emphasizes mentorship, professional growth, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based neonatal care for critically ill and premature infants in a 92-bed Level IV NICU.
- Collaborate closely with a team consisting of 9 neonatologists and 8 full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Manage complex, high-acuity cases, including ventilator management, IV therapy, and newborn stabilization.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and neonatal care planning involving pediatric subspecialists such as cardiology, neurology, and pulmonology.
- Support regional neonatal referral services across coastal Georgia, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Engage in family-centered care initiatives, providing education and support to families during challenging times.
- Contribute to clinical quality improvement projects and participate in training and mentoring of residents and new graduates.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Uphold the mission and standards of Pediatrix and Memorial Health through compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care.
Qualifications & Qualifications:
- Current Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-ACMC or equivalent) license in Georgia.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with specialization in Neonatology.
- Clinical experience in a Level III or IV NICU preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply—mentorship provided).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
