About This Opportunity
JR Enterprise (JRE), in partnership with the VA Healthcare System, is seeking a board-certified Pathologist to provide high-quality pathology services at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center (CZVAMC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This is a long-term, non-personal services contract offering the opportunity to work in a large, high-acuity, academically affiliated VA medical center. The Pathologist will deliver comprehensive anatomic pathology care, including surgical pathology, while collaborating with interdisciplinary clinical teams in support of Veteran health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform anatomic and surgical pathology evaluations with timely reporting
Review and interpret specimens in accordance with VA and national pathology standards
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
Fulfill all requirements related to accrediting agencies, including CAP, Joint Commission, FDA, and AABB
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the VA electronic medical record (CPRS)
Collaborate with surgeons, clinicians, and laboratory staff to optimize patient care
Support training of pathology residents, students, and clinical staff as assigned
Adhere to VA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and patient safety standards
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
Board-certified in Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPATH)
Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
Minimum five (5) years of experience in pathology practice, with at least recent experience within past three years
Proficiency in written and spoken English
Computer literate with proficiency in electronic medical records and VA systems (VISTA/CPRS)
Ability to complete VA credentialing, privileging (VetPro), and mandatory training
