Description

We are seeking a skilled Neurological Surgeon for a 60-day assignment starting Jul 27, 2026, in Missouri. This role involves 24-hour call one weekend per month, focusing on a diverse range of neurosurgical procedures including general neurosurgery, cerebrovascular, and spinal surgeries. The Physician will manage an average daily census of 25-50 patients, primarily serving as a consultant with 1-15 patient encounters per shift, responding to calls for surgery as needed.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform general neurosurgery procedures.
  • Conduct cerebrovascular procedures, including carotid or vertebral artery surgery and aneurysm clipping.
  • Manage tumors and neuroendocrine surgery cases.
  • Execute stereotactic radiosurgery, functional, and seizure-related procedures.
  • Perform VP shunt, skull base surgery, and spinal surgery with or without instrumentation (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar).
  • Address peripheral nerve surgery and pain procedures.
  • Conduct endovascular procedures.
  • Place ICP monitors and apply external traction.
  • Manage ventriculostomy and central line placements.
  • Handle an average daily census ranging from 25-50 patients, with approximately 70% consults and 30% on service.
  • Act primarily as a consultant.
  • Manage 1-15 patient encounters per shift.
  • Respond to calls for surgery as required.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Neurological Surgery required.
  • ATLS and PALS certification required.
  • EMR System: Epic.
