Join Our Team as a BMT Registered Nurse – Make a Difference in Hematology & Oncology Care!
Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse passionate about providing exceptional care to patients battling complex hematology and oncology conditions? We are seeking a highly skilled BMT Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at James (14 & 15W) on a Night 3x12-Hour shift. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work in a specialized unit caring for patients with conditions like leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and those undergoing stem cell transplants and CAR-T therapies. What You Bring:
- Minimum of 1 year of inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience, with strong preference for Hematology-Oncology background
- Verified Chemo Certification
- Proficiency with Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing (MS/Tele)
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and operate telemetry monitoring
- Skilled in blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and chemotherapy
- Experience with patient procedures such as feeding tube care, sterile dressing changes, and airway management
- Familiarity with EPIC computerized charting system
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification; ACLS preferred
Additional Skills That Are a Plus:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience with stem cell transplants (Autologous, Allogeneic, Syngeneic) and CAR-T therapy
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills and adaptability
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Registered Nurse with active US licensure
- Previous experience in a transplant or oncology setting
Other Requirements:
- Must hold current BLS and Chemotherapy Certification
- Willingness to work night shifts, with rotating schedules including days, nights, or both as needed
- Commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced, specialized unit
