A Large Hospital is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
Eastern Virginia is well-known for its historic sites such as Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown! While on assignment visit these sites or Virginia Beach to relax by the water!
The position involves 815 night shifts per month, including 12 weekends, with on-call hours MondayFriday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and weekends from Saturday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM. Caseload includes 4 patients per weekday, 2 on weeknights, and 6 on weekends, with a 50% callback rate. Required procedures include arterial/venous catheter placement, chest tube placement, thoracentesis, and first assist in cardiac/thoracic surgeries like CABG, valve replacements, heart transplants, and ECMO.
