Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience in acute care settings
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Proficiency in IV starts, patient monitoring, labs, medication administration, and patient education
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records required
- Telemetry monitoring skills essential
- Ability to handle complex trauma and orthopedic injuries like SBO, head injuries, fractures, and trauma cases
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in trauma or orthopedic units
- Advanced certifications in critical care or trauma nursing
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Current RN license in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a step-down or PCU environment
Other Requirements:
- Flexible to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week)
- Valid licensure and certifications required
- Willingness to assist with travel or additional reimbursements as applicable
