Description
A rare leadership position has opened in New Jersey due to retirement, and we are seeking a board-certified (or board-eligible) psychiatrist for on-site permanent placement. This role blends direct patient care with oversight responsibilities, including diagnosis, treatment planning, compliance with TJC standards, and collaboration on judicial reviews and hearings. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure adherence to the Patient’s Bill of Rights, and participate in both program development and continuing medical education. Candidates must have completed accredited psychiatry residency training, with preference for those holding a current NJ medical license. Skills
One (1) year of broad-based clinical training in internal medicine, family practice, or pediatrics; or a transitional year program that shall have included a minimum of four (4) months of primary care; or a residency in a clinical specialty requiring comprehensive and continuous patient care all of which must be approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. AND, Three (3) years of full-time post-graduate specialized residency training in a clinical psychiatry program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
OR, Completion of a four (4) year psychiatry residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
