Description
Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon for a 30-day assignment starting Jun 15, 2026. This Physician will provide 24-hour orthopedic call coverage for the ER, handling general orthopedic procedures at a 72-bed hospital. Responsibilities include seeing their own patients for follow-up in the clinic during weekday mornings.
Responsibilities and Duties - Provide 24-hour orthopedic call for the ER at a hospital with a trauma designation.
- Cover all general orthopedic procedures.
- Be comfortable seeing your own patients for follow-up in the clinic while on-call, typically in the morning on most weekdays after acclimation.
- Manage general orthopedic surgery call cases, including fractures, dislocations, and procedures involving the knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow.
Additional Information - Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery is required.
- EMR system utilized is Cerner.
- Candidates must either have or be willing to immediately obtain a California temporary Fluoroscopy permit.
