Duties include:

• Providing nursing care in the clinical setting as a member of a multidisciplinary team;
• Working in all clinics, Family Planning, Maternity, STI, HIV, ADAP, Immunizations, and Teen clinic;
• Giving immunizations in Open Immunization Clinics as well as other clinics;
• Providing case management and care coordination of an assigned caseload;
• Supporting the clinic coordinators by providing medical follow-up for clients as needed;
• Maintaining appropriate records and documentation to meet local, state and federal requirements;
• Providing health education to clients, families and the community; and
• Participating in home visits, outreach opportunities and emergency preparedness activities.

Skills

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, plus one year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN);
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Virginia or a state with reciprocity; and
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Substitution: Education may be substituted by additional directly related full-time experience on a year for year basis.

Desirables/Preferences:

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health or a related field; and/or
• Public Health work experience.
