Responsibilities:

Administer nursing care to patients with abuse, addiction, psychiatric needs
Recognizes and interprets symptoms of clients' conditions, reports to appropriate personnel and assists with remedial measures for adverse developments
Focuses on client empowerment in providing treatment, seeking to assist clients to build on strengths in addressing treatment needs.
Diagnose and establish individualized plans giving patients total care and needed attention
Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
Sensitive interpersonal demeanor to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and care team.
Educate patients and families about health maintenance and abuse prevention
Encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth and interest in patients’ personal and health care needs
Maintain accurate patient medical records

Skills

Qualifications:

Previous experience in nursing, psychiatric, abuse, adult addiction care
Ability to build rapport with patients
Strong decision-making and critical thinking
