Registered Nurse (Telemetry) Requirements and Qualifications:
In a telemetry unit hospital, patients are usually in a critical condition and need constant care and monitoring. Telemetry nurses' reviews data from an equipment to track a patient's heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and other vitals. Telemetry RN's traditional nursing duties such as admitting medications and communicating with patients regarding their situation. Since most of the patients in a telemetry unit are usually have suffered heart attacks or are recovering from cardiac surgery. Some telemetry units will also use to monitor patients with sleep disorders or neurological issues, which is epilepsy.
