An academic medical center in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking a locum Hematology/Oncology physician for outpatient oncology coverage beginning August 2026.

Compensation:
Regular: $4285/24 hr
OT after 9 hours/day: $665

Schedule:
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No call required
Providers must be able to cover at least 1 week per month
Preference for providers available 2–4 weeks per month
Clinical Responsibilities
Outpatient Medical Oncology coverage
New patient consultations and follow-up visits
Focus areas include:
GI Oncology
GU Oncology
Breast Oncology
Lung Oncology
Optional inpatient/night/weekend opportunities may be available if desired
Patient Volume & Support
Approximately 16 patients per day
Adult patient population
Support Staff Includes:
Administrative assistants
Nursing assistants
RNs
APP support (APRN and/or PA-C)
Facility & Systems
EMR: Epic
Academic/teaching environment
Requirements
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
Outpatient medical oncology experience required
Kentucky license or IMLC preferred
Kentucky DEA required
Epic experience preferred
New graduates welcome
Additional Information
Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90–120 days
No temporary or emergency privileges available
