Description
We are seeking a skilled Neonatology Nurse Practitioner for a 112-day assignment in Maryland, starting Nov 23, 2026. This role involves night shifts from 7pm to 7am, typically 12-14 shifts per month. The selected candidate will focus on rounding and resuscitating neonates, providing Level III nursery coverage, and attending high-risk deliveries and c-sections within a unit. Responsibilities also include advanced procedures such as intubations and umbilical line placements, requiring independent management of cases with neo availability by phone.
Responsibilities and Duties - Provide nursery coverage for neonates.
- Round and resuscitate neonates during night shifts (7pm to 7am).
- Attend high risk deliveries and c-sections.
- Perform neonatal resuscitation procedures, including intubations and umbilical line placements.
- Stabilize and manage patients independently without transfers.
- Manage a unit with an average census of 14 patients.
- Focus on NICU coverage, not general nursery duties.
- Work 12-14 shifts per month.
Additional Information - Required Board Certification: Pediatric Hospital Medicine
- EMR: Cerner
- Must be proficient with neonatal resuscitation procedures and hold NRP and STABLE certification (STABLE certification can be obtained through MedStar classes).
