Required Skills:
- Active New Mexico medical license and NM DEA certification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
- Strong surgical skills with expertise in orthopaedic procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage on-call responsibilities
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with hospital privileging and payor credentialing processes
- Familiarity with outpatient and inpatient orthopedic surgeries
- Prior experience working in hospital or clinical settings within New Mexico
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program
- At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience preferred
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to work 7am-7am shifts with possible scheduling adjustments
- Ability to enroll in the Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) for New Mexico; agency to assist with coverage
- Willingness to participate in 24-hour beeper call coverage (on-call, not onsite)
- Commitment to submitting case logs and documentation promptly to facilitate privileging process
