Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant license and certification
- Prior emergency department experience
- Ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical situations
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with low to moderate acuity cases
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- NCCPA certification
- At least 1-2 years of ED or urgent care experience
- Previous work in a hospital or ER setting
Other Requirements:
- Local candidates preferred
- Availability for night shifts (10 p.m. – 8 a.m.) at Southwood or day shifts (1 p.m. – 11 p.m., 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., or 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.) at Gwinnett
- Willingness to travel and receive reimbursements when applicable
- Compliance with all licensure, certification, and legal requirements
