What You Will Do:
As a Temp CSFA in the OR, you will assist surgical teams during a wide range of procedures across various specialties. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient surgeries while providing critical support to patients and staff. This role offers day shift hours, providing work-life balance and the chance to enjoy the scenic surroundings of Petoskey.
Required Skills:
- Current CSFA Certification
- Proven experience assisting in surgical procedures across multiple specialties
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization, and aseptic techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to operate independently and promptly address intraoperative needs
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in a hospital setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certified Surgical First Assistant credential from a recognized agency
- At least 2 years of operating room experience in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work scheduled day shifts starting June 15, 2026
- Must comply with all hospital policies, including attendance and safety protocols
- Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a CSFA
