Our client in New York is seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 40-day assignment starting Aug 17, 2026. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts, from 8 AM to 8 PM, in an inpatient pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. The chosen candidate will be responsible for rounding with physicians, managing 5-9 cases per day, and performing critical procedures such as intubation, central/arterial line placement, and ECMO initiation/management.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide direct patient care in an inpatient Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at a pediatric hospital.
  • Work 8 AM - 8 PM day shifts, collaborating closely with attending physicians during rounds.
  • Manage an average of 5-9 inpatient cases per day, ensuring comprehensive critical care.
  • Perform advanced procedures including Intubation and Ventilation, Central/Arterial Line placement, ECMO Initiation/Management, and Hemodynamic Support.
  • Oversee post-operative management for pediatric patients.
  • Address complex cases involving breathing and respiratory failure.

  • Board Certifications: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)
