Description
We are seeking an Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner for an 18-day assignment in Colorado, starting Jul 3, 2026. The incoming Nurse Practitioner will work a full-time, daytime schedule evaluating and treating workplace injuries, conducting DOT physicals, and managing various occupational medicine visits. This role involves comprehensive patient care within an urgent care and occupational health setting.
Responsibilities and Duties - Perform DOT physicals and complete FMCSA certification and employer/DOT documentation
- Evaluate and treat workplace injuries, including common occupational musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, back, upper and lower extremities
- Conduct workers’ comp follow-ups and provide return-to-work clearance
- Perform pre-employment and fit-for-duty exams
- Manage basic urgent care and occupational medicine visits
- Evaluate and manage work-related injuries to the head (if conscious and alert), chest, or abdomen (with possibility of hernias)
- Address work-related lacerations of the face and extremities that do not impair function or sensation
- Treat work-related foreign bodies to the eye, non-penetrating eye injuries, and conditions not affecting vision
- Diagnose and treat work-related rashes and other occupational skin conditions
- Manage occupational asthma and other work-related respiratory symptoms
