Adelphi is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to perform advanced vocational nursing work at a facility in Tom Green County, Texas. The ideal LPN will provide care and treatment to individuals with complex medical and behavioral health needs.

Requirements
• Completion of an approved LPN/LVN program
• Must be a licensed LPN able to practice in Texas or a Nurse Licensure Compact state
• Preferably 1+ years of experience in behavioral health or residential care settings
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Demonstrated computer and EHR documentation skills preferred
Responsibilities
• Perform advanced vocational nursing work.
• Provide for the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals at the facility.
• Perform routine and advanced nursing tasks during assigned shifts.
• Administer medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection.
• Collect specimens for laboratory work and perform health screenings.
• Monitor individuals for treatments and procedures.
• Provide education to individuals with specific health goals.
• Perform technical nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations.
• Instruct staff on providing care that supports medical needs.
• Assist staff with turning or repositioning individuals when administering treatments.
• Ensure that medical and treatment supplies are available.
• Maintain individuals’ medical records in the EHR or paper charts.
• Document and report pertinent observations and communicate information to the care team.
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Work under limited RN supervision, using independent judgment.
• Maintain regular attendance and work assigned or rotating shifts as required.
